my eyelashes got frosted!!! awesomely cold.
happy new year xangs.
being in the cold warms my heart. i love it. i just get more... relaxed? bein in cali and canada and snowboarding was just so awesome. the theme for that trip was definitely "You just gotta commit." It was just hard at first and painful, but telling myself to commit i was able to carve the mountain pretty well. and now im goin to tahoe next month! ahhh ya.!
God is so great, so real, so perfect. My life is definitely not perfect, but it is great.. When your life is in a good place, like, your mind, spirit, heart is in a good place it just makes life so much easier if not simpler. Ya things come at me, but you deal and you move on. Goin through things and knowing how much time i've wasted on it.. it just puts things in perspective and helps me decide if its worth my time.
I wrote a list of new habits i'd like to acquire with my friend the other week. It's going to be tough because i like my routine right now. But i believe it'll make me a better person. So, that's my motivation. WE'll see how that goes. Oh, and I was asked to run the GAte River Run with a friend.. My mind says yes.. my body says heyll naw. I think that marathon traumatized my body. I wish we had a big mountain with snow. i miss snowboarding.
k. it's late. til next time.

| I spent the early half of the day in Clearwater. I woke up at 510am and headed out to Clearwater with Althea to a Mission Medical Clinic. This free clinic was designed to aid the homeless in the community from bus passes, to haircuts, to eye tests, to podiatric care. For the first couple hours I was a guide for this one guy. He was nice, funny, and afraid of needles.
Today I saw 2 types of people. One who has hope in their eyes and another who looks defeated. Maybe its the training and service from YFC but I just wanted to listen to their story and just say anything that could give them some hope or even just crack a smile.
After I guided that one guy I spent the rest of the time in the Podiatry room. As I cleaned their feet to prep for the doctor, I couldn't help but be humbled, thankful, prayerful. Most of 'em just needed a new pair of cotton socks.
There's a lot I can do. Just gotta.. decide and commit.
